Also known as PSR, the Parish School of Religion is a religious formation program for our parish children who are enrolled in public school. We offer 1st through 8th grade religious studies on Monday evenings. During our Monday night classes, students learn the faith through textbooks, presentations, and various activities. Beginning in the first grade, students will begin to memorize and comprehend basic Catholic teaching (doctrine) and prayers. These will be the building blocks for the next two sacraments they will receive in second grade. First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion occur during 2nd grade. This year moves very quickly as your child prepares to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. They are excited to receive Jesus! Third grade through 6th continue to educate the students on Catholic teachings and prepare them for the sacrament of Confirmation. Grades 7 and 8 are dedicated to preparing our young men and women as they open themselves to the Holy Spirit and commit themselves to celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation. They will share their time, talent, and treasure in service to the community in response to the Gospel call. They will be excited to make this decision for themselves! If you have questions regarding any aspect of your child's religious education, please contact the PSR office.
